2001-present: Release technique and contact improvisation with Kathleen Hermesdorf, Jess Curtis, Scott Wells, Leslie Seiters ( San Francisco ), and David Hernandez ( Brussels ).
2005-present: Classes and coaching in handstands and acrobatics at Espace Catastrophe ( Brussels ).
Spring 2005: Coaching in handstands and gymnastics with the Cal Gymnastics Club (Berkeley).
2003-2005: Workshops and classes in Klein Technique with Barbara Mahler and Wally Cardona ( San Francisco and New York ).
1993-2001: Ballet with Kathryn Irey ( San Diego ).
Performing and Professional Experience:
Summer 2005: Recipient of the DanceWEB-Europe scholarship, a five-week residency at ImpulsTanz ( Vienna ). Including a two-week research project with Meg Stuart and coaching with David Zambrano.
June 2005: Recipient of Theater Bay Area's CA$H Grant.
May 2005: Produced Impulse , an evening of work by various San Francisco area choreographers and performers. Choreographed the solo Given That It Lasts , which premiered as part of Impulse .
Mar 2005: Detroit Lightning with Dance Elixir. Ensemble piece choreographed by Leyya Tawil, performed as part of the Dance Is … Festival ( Berkeley ).
Nov 2004: Summers Without You Are Short and Dark . A trio created through a collaboration between the dancers and director Brenton Cheng, performed at various locations throughout the San Francisco area.
Oct 2004: Sketches for “Touched - Symptoms of Being Human” with Jess Curtis/Gravity. Directed by Jess Curtis, with an international cast of dancers, musicians, and circus artists ( San Francisco ).
Aug 2004: Elements with Lizz Roman and Dancers. An hour-long site-specific dance piece performed at Yerba Buena Gardens as part of the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival ( San Francisco ).
Sept 2003: Created and performed the solo Barely , presented by Canaldanse, Paris.
Spring 2003: Performances in various San Francisco public spaces (parks, busy street corners, etc) with Humility Swim, a contact improvisation-based performance ensemble directed by Ali Woolwich.
Additional Skills:
